Lorraine started dancing at the age of 3 at her local dance school in Harrow where she completed RAD and ISTD examinations in Ballet, Tap, Modern, National and Classical Greek. She also took part in numerous performances and competitions, including the prestigious All England Young Dancer Competition. She went on to train at the Royal Academy of Dance in London where she completed a BA (Hons) degree in the Art and Teaching of Ballet.
After graduation, Lorraine joined the contemporary dance company Three-Fortyone Dances. She also worked at the vocational performing arts' school, Urdang, teaching on both the diploma and degree courses and managing part-time courses and outreach programmes. For thirteen years Lorraine ran the dance department at St James Schools, London and was also Head of Key Stage 4 and a Safeguarding and Mental Health Lead.
After moving to Oxfordshire Lorraine set up The Dance Barn in September 2018 to share with others her love of dance and movement. The school achieved huge success in its first year and has since rebranded to Intune Dance and Movement in order to expand further.
When she is not teaching running the school and looking after her daughter Lorraine enjoys Pilates, Yoga, cooking, gardening, walks in the countryside and dancing!
