Rachael trained at The Royal Ballet School from the age of 9 as a Junior Associate and progressed to Elmhurst Ballet School from the age of 11 until 16. She studied a range of dance styles, from English, to Bonneville, Vaganova, Cicchetti and the RAD style of dance during her ballet career. She received a distinction in all grades of Royal Academy of Dance (RAD), became Most Promising Dancer at the age of 16 at Elmhurst and was picked as the Model Dancer for Promotional Filming for RAD. At the age of 14 Rachael was also awarded Choreographer of the Year by David Bintley - Former Director of The Birmingham Royal Ballet.
At 16 Rachael was offered a student company position with the Hamburg Ballet where she performed in many ballets including Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Romeo and Juliet and many more.
Rachael also has extensive experience in singing (operatically) together with numerous musical theatre styles. She also trained at The Arts Educational School in London Summer school at age 19 studying musical theatre and jazz. She was chosen to sing and dance at the Symphony Hall Birmingham with the Birmingham Royal Ballet in front of Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall and perform solos in the annual Summer Shows, solo competitions, and Awards ceremonies in front of the likes of Dame Gillian Lynne.
Unfortunately, during training Rachael sustained a spinal injury which caused her to become partially paralysed for a period of time. Once healed, she realised she could never dance again to the high standard she had previously achieved and chose to move into teaching instead in order to pass her passion on to others.
After my injury, Rachael went on to study Biology, Chemistry, and Physics for a career in the medical world. She is also am now taking my Level 2 Gym Instructor, Level 3 Personal Trainer, Level 2 Exercise with children and a Scott Pilates instructor Couse so she can teach specialised Pilates, yoga and balletics.
